New Life

"Thank you, Hem," I said as I smiled warmly at Mr. O'Connor's subordinate, Hema, who was in charge of driving me here.

Earlier, before we got here, I had asked him to accompany me to shop for some essentials. Obviously I needed a change of clothes and an evening snack, my stomach had been very hungry since the two or three hour journey.
