Chapter 134

When Annie disconnected, Elizabeth looked at Selene. She could notice her daughter not having regard for her anymore.

Her daughter used to see her as a demigod and smart. But with the way she replied to Annie and how she answered, Elizabeth could see Selene not believing in her anymore.

“Does Annie want us to lure Clara to the house?” Selene asked her mother.

“Yes.”

“Leave it, I will do it,” Selene replied. She seemed so confident that Elizabeth didn’t question how she was going to do it.

With the attitude Selene displayed, no one could dare question whatever she decided to do.

“Mum, I will need my space now,” Selene said, calling back her mum to reality and making her leave the room.

When Alex came back from work, quite early. He met Clara asleep. A lot must have happened, and she must be exhausted.

Though he told her they would be having dinner, he didn’t mention to her that this dinner would take place in his parent's house.
