Chapter 150

While she was all agitated about all that had happened, Clara could see Joe stepping forward with all smiles on his face.

“I got you chocolate to put you in a lighter mood.” He said with a warm smile.

“Thanks again,” Clara reacted.

As she bit the chocolate, it wasn’t making her mood lighter, it only reminded her of the past and she felt like she was going crazy.

She didn’t even know when tears began to drop from her eyes.

“Clara, are you crying?”

“No, not at all. I think the wind blew some dust into my eyes.” She lied, offering him a fake smile.

Even though Joe did not believe her, he didn’t say anything anymore.

Soon they arrived at his house. He stayed in a two-bedroom leased apartment which wasn’t bad at all.

It was well-furnished and had lots of interior decoration in it. He used lots of wall paintings and art designs and his house was almost made of only two colors.

Black and white.

Clara couldn’t help but admire the interior. Joe wasn’t as rich as Alex and Henry, but he was okay
