Chapter 50: Understanding the Meaning of Dating

The coffee cup came to a halt in front of Vivienne. She could almost feel the entire world freezing in time at that moment.

"You want to be my boyfriend?" she repeated, her voice filled with disbelief.

The words he had just spoken replayed in her mind like an automatic rewind, echoing in her ears. He wanted to be her boyfriend. This time, there was no pleading tone in his voice; instead, it was firm and didn't allow any room for refusal.

His gaze fell on her hand, and he quickly grabbed a tissue from the table. He took hold of her hand and carefully wiped away the coffee from her hand. Though the coffee wasn't too hot, her hand still had a faint red mark.

Asher lowered his head and pressed his lips against Vivienne's hand, gently kissing every slightly burned spot. It was as if he were performing an incredibly important task, his expression focused and serious, even carrying a sense of reverence.
