Chapter 6. EX WIFE IS CEO

(ASH'S POV)

"Damn it!" I cursed angrily as yet another valuable project was snatched up by the Dental Science company. I don't know how many times this has happened, but I'm sick of seeing my company lose billions of dollars.

How great is that company that everyone wants to work with it so badly? Which science company is better than my company?

"Damn it! I can't let this keep happening!" I threw the document I had been reading onto the table. Then I stomped out of my room.

"Everyone gather around!" I shouted to all my employees.

I had to find out what was wrong with my company that all the projects I wanted were always failing. I could see the worried looks on all of their faces. And quickly, they stood neatly in front of me. With their heads bowed down without daring to look at me.

Who would dare to look at me if I was angry like this?

"Tell me, what happened that all our projects failed like this? Are you not doing your job properly?!" I snapped with a vein of anger in my neck. I couldn't hold my temper because this was already stressing me out.

But everyone was silent and didn't dare answer. I was getting even angrier.

"Are you guys just going to shut up?! Do you have no mouth or are you deaf?!"

I looked at my employees' faces one by one. For a long time, our company was the best in terms of science. But since the advent of the Dantel Science company. Everything has gone to shit.

Shit. Just because of this problem, I couldn't calm down because my company could have a bankruptcy crisis due to the lack of cooperation on the projects I handled.

"Tell me, how come all the projects we were going to handle ended up going to Dantel Saints?" I asked again. I tried to temper my emotions so that they wouldn't get scared and answer my questions.

I immediately turned to one of my employees. And urged him to continue his speech.

"Continue. I'll listen," I ordered.

"That's because the Dental Science company has advanced technology. Their technology is far from what we have. That's why they're superior to our company."

"Technology?" I furrowed my brow, confused.

"News has spread quickly that their technology is great. That's why everyone is racing to cooperate with the Dental Science company."

"Damn," I swore under my breath. I clenched my hands together to hold back my emotions. "How advanced is their technology to have us lose?"

"Probably many times over. We haven't seen it either, but from the news reports, they are always satisfied with their cooperation. Their projects are always successful with high income. Not even a single failed project."

"Continue," I ordered.

"And we heard that the CEO of the company also has a good knowledge of science and technology. That's why he's probably good at handling every project. And the best way to save the company from crisis is to partner with them. As for us, we're also lacking in marketing skills."

"Then why didn't you approach them?"

"Sir, we've done it many times, but their CEO always refuses to meet. And the only chance to meet her was to come to an event he frequented. It's a party held by bigwigs and important people. They often look for loopholes to work with Dental's company," my secretary said.

"Her? So the CEO of the Dental Science company is a woman? Interesting," I said with a meaningful smile.

"Are you coming to the party?" he asked.

"Yes. Make sure I can come to the party and find out when it is. I want to see firsthand what the CEO of the Dental Science company looks like."

"Uh, sir. Incidentally, there is a party going on tonight. Would you like me to prepare everything for you?"

"Yes. Give me access to the party," I ordered.

I had to meet her. Determine how she could easily take over the entire project. A woman? I smiled wryly. Since when did a woman have so much power that she could almost destroy my company?

"Damn it," I cursed while clenching my fists.

As long as I was thinking about the party, I couldn't work with focus. My mind was on the party I was going to tonight. Until that is, I returned home, making sure my secretary had arranged everything so that I could go to the party. I made sure I looked my best.

I don't know if she's married or has a lover yet, but at the very least, while I'm there I should observe what she's like. That way, I can make sure dealing this partnership works.

I got to the party by being dropped off by my secretary. I entered the building. It was a luxurious building with many important people attending. I even saw that there were some important officials as well. How powerful was he that he was so respected by everyone?

"Excuse me, do you know where the CEO of the Dental Science company is?" I asked one of the businessmen who came there.

"Oh, she's not here yet. Probably in her room," he replied.

I rolled my eyes lazily. Did she think that she was the lead female?

This hurt my pride a little because I didn't know when she would come and what she would look like. Just then, I was accidentally bumped into by two girls and a boy. Looking scared, running around like they were hiding from someone.

"Gosh, what are you guys doing here? It's not good to run around among so many people. You could get hurt," I said gently. I crouched down in front of them.

"We're running away from our mom," one of the girls said.

"Running away?"

"I accidentally broke a gadget and mom got mad at us," she said with a sad look on her face. I couldn't bear to look at her.

"I have chocolate, do you want some? But the condition is that you can't be sad anymore," I said.

"But we can't eat much chocolate because it looks like an evil monkey."

I chuckled at her answer. But just then I heard the businessman I'd been talking to say that the CEO had arrived at the party. I immediately stood up with wide eyes. Trying to figure out where he was as everyone crowded into one place. Greeting so kindly as the CEO of the Dental Science Company came to the party.

Damn.

I couldn't see her face as everyone stood around glaring at her. She was standing with her back to me so all I could see was her beautiful body wrapped in her luxurious dress.

"Mom!"

I was surprised to see the two girls suddenly running while calling Mom toward her. In my heart, perhaps this would be a good opportunity to approach her through her children.

As I walked towards her, trying to greet her, I gasped in shock as I saw she turn towards me with a very familiar face.
