Chapter 27

Andy woke up to the scream of a woman. He sat on his bed dumbfounded for a moment before he heard a woman scream again and this time, he kicked off the sheets and got off his bed. The first thing he did was grab his phone from the drawer and calling Caden.

His heart was beating so fast. He knew with all the things happening around, this scream has got to be something dangerous but rather than going alone, he knew it was wise to tag along Caden. He cursed under his breath as Caden didn’t answer the phone and then called Janet.

The first time he called, Janet didn’t answer and right when he was about to head out, his phone vibrated. It was Janet.

“Hey, Janet.”

“Damn, Andy. You don’t let me sleep now? How could you be so annoying day and night?”

“Screw that. I’m not being annoying. Didn’t you hear a woman scream?”

“What?”

There was a drowsy reply but then there was a rustle before her voice became clearer.

“What? What do you mean?”

She asked and just then Andy heard another loud scream,
