The sky was lit with colours of pink, red and orange. A soft breeze blew and stirred up dust into the air. The land was filled with small shrubs, cacti, dry grass and sand. It was like everything around us went in slow motion. I had time to describe every detail of Axels face, and how his body hit the ground. He landed face first with his eyes still open while his blood seeped into the sand. His arms were at his side and his knees bent to the side. He didn't breathe, he didn't blink, he didn't move. Even when Kiara screamed his name and wind flew dust towards us. He wasn't bothered. He just lay there.Then suddenly everything went back to normal speed as another shot went off and hit one tire of the van, making it sink down to the rim.
