20. Intimidation
"Wow, Mrs. Evans is really stunning!" the designer flattered. "All dresses look more radiant on your body."
Gabriella raised the corners of her lips a bit. The dress with crystal beads was the tenth dress she had tried on.
"So, has my fiancee found her dress yet?" Max asked suddenly before sitting on the sofa.
Without waiting for orders, the butler approached her master.
"Aren't you planning on leaving this afternoon, Sir?" Minnie asked in a low voice.
"My business is done. Now, I want to check on my fiancee's preparation,” he said, smiling at Gabriella. The girl who glanced at him suddenly looked away.
"Of all the dresses that have been tried, your lover is most suitable to wear this dress, Sir," the designer explained as he pulled Gabriella to the front of the man.
"Is it true? Turn around!”

Gabriella could sense Max was approaching. The closer they were, the tighter she clenched fists. Her cheeks were blushing like a tomato. Just before the man bit her lips, a knock on the door caught their attention. Gabriella could hear a small snort from her front. Only then could she breathe again and open her eyes. "Yes?" Max stared at the door with an eyebrow raised in displeasure. "Sorry, Sir. Your secretary is waiting at the guard post. He insists on coming in to see Master," a servant reported from behind the door. "Just tell him that I'm enforcing protocol five!" "He's still insistent, Sir." A quick gasp was immediately heard. “Please tell him to contact me by phone!” After giving the order, Max grabbed the phone and activated it. Knowing her husband's annoyance, Gabriella did not dare to move. Every now and then, he checked Max's expression out of the corner of her eyes. "Can I go now?" she asked carefully.

"Look, who touched first?" Max teased, raising an eyebrow. Annoyed, Gabriella threw her husband's hand away. "I want to sleep!"Roughly, the woman threw herself on the bed and then laid with her back to her husband. A few seconds later, she changed position to her back, then turn to the right. But, wherever she faced, her eyes still wouldn't close. "Why? You can't sleep because of thinking about me?" Max teased with a crooked smile. Gabriella chuckled in annoyance and then threw her husband with the teddy. "Stop bothering me!" “Wow! So, you don't love Snowy anymore? Good." Max hugged the teddy bear and returned his focus to the phone. Looking at her husband's behavior, Gabriella was provoked to sit down. “Hey, give my Snowy back!” “This isn't yours anymore. Should the woman move first?” Amber asked with a smirk. A moment later, the man took out his cell phone from the pocket and started typing a message. The impatient lady's eyebrows furrowed in displeasure. "Are you asking for help?" “I sent order to my driver to wait a little longer.” Amber's eyes immediately widened in disbelief, moreover, when the man she approached her and placed the cellphone on the table beside the bed. "So you've changed your mind, haven't you?" the lady asked with heart full of happiness. Without thinking, the man nodded and gave an intimidating look. "This is what you want, isn't it?" His hands began to unfasten the belt, making Amber's heart began to jump for joy.

After a few minutes, Gabriella's eyelids were almost closed tightly. It was a very quiet night for her. No Max, no coercion. There was only Snowy and the soft bed underneath. Unexpectedly, the door opened wide. The woman became conscious in an instant. "Max?" she sighed before swallowing hard. Her eyes quivered to compensate for her sudden rapid heartbeat. "You didn't open the door for me on purpose, huh?" the man asked, carelessly taking off his shirt. The look in his sharp eyes and the roar of his breath made Gabriella more shrunken. “I had no idea you were coming,” Gabriella replied with furrowed brows and bowed head. Her hand was holding Snowy tighter. "So you fell asleep while your husband was waiting at the door?" Gabriella's lips trembled wordlessly. The courage she had cultivated earlier had withered, moreover, when Max slammed his trousers on the floor. "You should have waited so I wouldn't have to bang on the door!"
