"Sorry if before this, I thought you were still bad, Dad," Julian whispered with closed eyes. The furrows of his brows depicted regret perfectly. "I shouldn't have kept the distance from you for the past two years."

Hearing such an honest statement, Herbert's heart suddenly warmed. Patting his son's back, he took a deep breath. "Even if you go to the ends of the world, I still feel close to you, Julian. You are the son I love more than my own son. Don't you remember how unfortunate Max was?"

Remembering his brother, a small laugh suddenly burst into the air. "Yes, you really loved me too much. But, please don't repeat it. Poor Max. He's already suffered enough.”

"Yes, for sure. I've changed, Julian. Now, I am both a fair father and grandfather,” Herbert said before sighing in relief. The burden at the bottom of his heart no longer existed. The old man could already imagine a brighter future with his sons and grandchildren.
