Three minutes earlier, Herbert took his daughter-in-law's hand with a bright smile. His eyes were no longer firm, but warm.

"Thank you, Mia. You've managed to make me feel young again," the old man mumbled, instantly inviting a chuckle from the bride.

"You're still young, Dad. Look! Your dance moves are even more agile than mine," the woman in white replied, tucking confidence under her eyebrows.

“Younger than Mr. Hunt, you mean?” the father-in-law joked, once again provoking joy from the mouth of the daughter-in-law. After one light breath, Herbert shook his head faintly. “You don't need to comfort me, Mia. I realize that I am no longer young. Look at my grandchild … soon to be two.”

Before the woman could reply, the old man took a deep breath. "I can't wait to meet your daughter. Lately, I've been wondering what her face looks like. Does she look like you … or Julian?”

Curving her lips, the woman tilted
