Chapter Fifty-Nine

Lucas reached the area where Natalie was, he wore a police uniform and some sunglasses so that she wouldn't recognize him.

She was seated on a bench across from him, her eyes looked devoid and sad. With quick strides, he reached her in no time.

Nat noticed a pair of black boots in her peripheral, she instantly saw a tall man dressed in a police uniform looming over her. She realized that he was probably sent from the station to investigate Scar's

kidnapping.

"Good afternoon Miss Nat, how are you holding up?" he deepened his voice so that she couldn't recognize him.

"I'm alright," She muttered, her voice came out strange like it wasn't hers.

He proceeded to ask her what happened so that he seemed legit and she began telling him every single detail about what happened.

He patiently waited for her to finish listening to every word, then he sat next to her and embraced her. She was caught off-guard but later melted in his embrace.
