Chapter Seventeen

Sebastian was absolutely furious. I mean, you could practically see the steam coming out of his ears just by looking at his darkened expression.

He had his eyes fixed on Scarlett. Actually, scratch that, he was straight-up glaring at her.

If looks could kill, she'd probably be six feet under by now.

"Come closer, Miss Oslon," he commanded, his voice so low and authoritative.

She wanted to resist or maybe show some stubbornness.

But she knew better than to do that.

Scarlett's heart raced as she found herself inexplicably drawn closer to Sebastian. Michelle, who had been standing in the corner, wore a sly smile that only Scarlett could see.

Feeling a sudden urge to break the tension, Scarlett coughed awkwardly and greeted Sebastian. However, before she could utter a word, he silenced her with a swift gesture, extending his hand as if to command her to stop talking.

Scarlett obediently clamped her mouth shut, her curiosity mounting.
