CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE

Aurora didn't expect George to scream aloud, his face was squeezed tight in pain as the gun slipped from his hand. His eyes were wide with terror and defeat as he continued to stare at something, or rather someone behind them. 

Aurora, still in shock and confusion registered the footsteps and movements. Soon after, the police surrounded the room. 

While they had been distracted in their fights earlier, Aurora and George had failed to realize the cops who had quietly surrounded the building, until it was too late. The police had fired twice at George before he had the chance to pull the trigger on Sammie. 

From the corner of her gaze, she met two pairs of familiar once.
