Tremont pushed aside the documents, breathing out his frustration. It had been a week already, but he still found it difficult to concentrate on anything.

It was her.

Aurora, who kept haunting his mind. He could still remember the hopelessness in her eyes as she uttered those last words.

' You never listen to me simply because you already hated me, you think that I'm a very horrible person, I can't say if I'm a good person, but I've never had any bad intention towards you or your family!'

She even troubled his dream, he found it hard to sleep at night, he should know better than to believe a gold-digger like her, but that didn't make him feel any better.

He drank a sip of his tea only to spit out the soured taste, he was going to be sick.

The doctors still weren't clear on his mother's condition, they had advised him to prepare himself for the worst. Even if his mother somehow manage
