Chapter 67

ALPHA GUNNOLF

The dinner was a bit uptight, and I had a feeling that it would get worse as time went by. I had the urge to leave, but it would be disrespectful to Liam, so I sat stiffly on my chair, turning the sauce repeatedly with the noodles.

Alexa was close to me, and I noted that she was looking at me expectantly like she wanted me to say something. I almost thought that she had discussed with her father about the marriage stuff. No! She couldn’t be that desperate though the way she had requested to be mated had been something else.

“Alpha Gunnolf,” Liam called suddenly.

I slowly dropped my spoon and turned to face Liam. He was visibly upset, and I wondered what the problem could be. I rose my brow curiously as I waited for him to speak. He looked at his daughter and then back at me.

“What is it, Liam?” I asked impatiently.

He shifted his gaze to me. “I would like to talk to you away from Alexa. It’s kind of important.” He informed me.
