Your husband

I woke up bewildered . I tried moving my body but I couldn't move . It pains everywhere .

I shifted my gaze around my surroundings  . It was appearing like a hospital room but I wasn't sure as it seems quite luxurious to be a hospital . I tried to move my hand and whimper and shook my hand as syringe were attached to my veins .

I saw a middle aged woman beside my bed looking at me with wide eyes ;"Signora (Madam)  ... how are you feeling " she asked me . 

I touched my head . My trembling fingers sense the bandage wrapped around my forehead . My head was aching like a shit . It feels  like something was deliberately banging my head . It felt awful .

I whimper ;" Ahhhh" . I looked at the  old man rushing toward me wearing white uniform . He approached me with a smile . I was oblivious of my surrounding . " who are you ....and where am I ?" I said confusedly to him .

" Don't touch your forehead.... " he warns me . I looked at him as he further said ;" Miss you are in hospital ... you been in comma since a week " he said . I wonder what happened to me as i  couldn't recall anything . How I reached here ? . 

" Do you remember who are you and what happened to you ?" he asked gently  .  ​​Shit ! Who am I.  I tried to dig information from my brain but I couldn't remember anything . I tried hard to recall but it just increase the aching . I groaned in pain  . I don't remember anything from my past . 

" Just Relax ...don't stress your brain too much " he advised me . I shook my head . My body felt so fragile and weak . I was feeling sore . There wasn't any energy left in my body . He gave me some medicine to relax . I took the medication with water . All in the while I didn't realized I was that thirsty . I drank the glass of water in one go . They help me laid down my bed and I don't know when my eyes felt heavy . I dozed off to sleep .

My eyes inadvertently  opened at mid- night . I gasped for air . I was sweating more  . I was still in the  bed  . The aching was lesser than before . I remembered I took medication .

After that I dozed off I guess . I don't know for how many hours I slept . I looked around my ambience . Everything was dark . Unlike at day , there was no one beside me . It was quite strange . I  am not a fan of darkness . Darkness makes me scared  . A fear that I wasn't safe . A fear that something wrong is going to happen  . I gulped the water down my throat . I was anxious and frightened  . 

It was a  pin drop silence . A silence in which even a sound of dripping a drop of water could be heard . It is said In darkness all your senses are awake . It is all true .

I  heard the sound of someone's foot wear . I started breathing heavily as the intensity of the sound increased seconds by seconds . Someone was getting closer . I panicked and I try to move my body  but couldn't make any movement  . It was like my legs has lost its ability to walk . It was fixed on the spot .

There was no one beside me to help .  No one to protect me . I stayed glued to the bed . The footsteps stopped . I sighed thinking may be I am hallucinating  but then I heard the creaking sound  of door opening  .

I gazed at the door . I saw a man's shadow entering my room . It was all dark so I couldn't see the face  but I notice him approaching my bed . I clenched my fist .  I was scared and vulnerable as I couldn’t throw a fight in this state . I tried speaking but only soft moans came out of my mouth . I sighed . My chest was  moving  in rhythm with my each breaths ;" who are you ?" . I asked  him almost inaudibly  .He didn't answered he was all quite . 

He stopped when he was only a feet  apart from me . As he was near The moon's  light lit his face . My mouth parted as my eyes admire his face . His face appeared as oblong shaped , his jawline was sharp with thick beard , his eyes were white like a diamond and his hairs were gelled back . It seems like he is a devil from hell .  His face was rigid . It reflects no expression no emotion  .

His dominating aura was giving me chills . My skin got goosebumps . I didn't like the emptiness . I tried one more time ;" who are you ?" .I asked .  He inched forward and bowed down his head closer to my ear. His cold breaths laid down on my eyes  which made my skin  spiked .  I breathed heavily . Our face was very nearer to each other  . I don't like this proximity with a stranger . I heard his deep husky voice saying ;" don't you remember me bambina ....I am your husband " .
