The apartment was nothing special. The main entrance led into what seemed like a living room with a couch at the very center and a television set right in front of it, a dining area behind the couch. As you further walked in you enter what looked like a corridor which led to four different rooms. There was a small kitchen at the far right of the dinning area and a door to the far left which led to a common bathroom. Two of the bedrooms had attached personal bathrooms as well. All five of us were currently sitting around the dinning table which was meant to seat 6 people. We had washed up and had some rest for around 2 hours. Alpha Paenoe just sent a moonchild to inform us that we should be ready in the next 3 hours for the meeting with the elders of their pack."We need a game plan" I said as I studied the map Jeremy had made of this city. It was of course incomplete, it only had the routes and landscapes Jeremy was able to notice on our way to the "guestrooms" but at least we had som
As I took a step in the same direction where Alpha Paenoe and Harrim had gone, I wasn't expecting much especially not appearing inside what looked like a grand sanctuary made completely out of gold."I was wondering whether you'd be brave enough to follow us or not" I whipped around at the sound of Alpha Paenoe who was standing next to a huge column with Harrim beside him."I would walk through fire if it meant saving my pack" I said in all seriousness. My words made Alpha Paenoe chuckle, he looked at me yet again with that curious gaze which I could not for the love of me decipher."You should step aside Luna, your companion would be stepping through and we don't want him to run you over" Alpha Paenoe said in a playful tone. I took quick steps and went to stand next to the two men."How does this exactly work? Is it something Harrim controls? or something entirely different?" I asked as I turned my head to look at Alpha Paenoe."It is not something Harrim controls. It is a passageway
Beyond the crazy magic corridor was heaven. That's the only word I can use to explain what I saw. As we exited the corridor, we stepped inside a huge hexagonal room, with five columns supporting the meeting point of each wall which seemed as if they were touching the sky but do you want to know the part that made me think this had to be heaven?Well the room glowed, I'm not joking! It literally glowed golden and blue and pink and every color you can think of! But this glow wasn't bulbs installed in the walls...oh no. It was like Ichor flowing through the veins of the Greek gods but in this case a golden fluid flowing through the walls...JUST LIKE THE CORRIDOR!"Wow...I- how?" The words left my mouth on their own. Amazement and surprise evident in my voice."Luna?" Jeremy asked, his voice full of questions and slight concern. I looked at him, probably with the look of astonishment plastered of my face."This is- how? how is this possible?" I asked Jeremy even though he, just like me, k
Jeremy and I were both escorted back to the guest apartment after I had puked my guts out upon finding out the truth about these hybrids. I could hear the rest of my team talking about what had gone down in the Quiche with Jeremy as they sat around the dining table out in the living room while I was back in my room trying to gather myself.Everything happened so fast, too fast. One moment a guy tells me I share blood with the moon goddess herself and then they tell me they literally let thousands of innocent wolves die just so they could save their own asses and get some sort of 'revenge' on werewolves."It sickens me" I said through my link with Isis who growled even at the mention of the heinous crime these hybrids have committed."We need to go back to the Wolven council" Isis said or screamed to be honest. But I could tell she wasn't being rational right now because any rational person would be able to see what would happen if we went to the Wolven council."We can't. If we tell t
I sat on the couch in the living room of the guest apartment. It was currently 4 in the morning and I was on watch. We had decided to retire for the night and keep the watch schedule the same. A few hours ago, Brian had come to wake me up so I could take over.A lot of things were going through my mind. I wasn't sure of anything anymore and I yearned to be back home with Callan and my parents. It was a lot of pressure, having to find the person behind such a big conspiracy, figuring out why those rogues had died long before they attacked the packs, how to get out of Blue Eclispe, why did Paenoe say I have the blood of the moon goddess running through my veins? And keeping all these kids alive...They were my responsibility; they came on this mission because they trusted me and have faith in my ability to keep them safe. But I can barely keep myself safe right now...I checked my phone for the hundredth time. I had gone around this entire apartment but could not find a single bar. If o
"Luna Anaïs" I turned around at the sound of my name and found Paenoe standing behind me. My mood plummeted and my stomach churned as the events of the Quiche came rushing back to me. But I held it all in and composed myself as I could feel the eyes of the other hybrids on me."Paenoe" I said in a plain tone. I saw Paenoe sigh and shake his head a little."I see you have chosen not to show me respect" he said but I interrupted him."Do not patronize me Paenoe. I'm not the one who chose not to show you respect, you and your people lost the privilege of being treated with respect the second you let all those werewolves die" I said through gritted teeth. I know I said I'd maintain my composure but try and put yourself in my shoes and you'll know how I was feeling."I understand that you're angry Luna Anaïs" he started again but I interrupted him once more as I was unable to listen to the bull coming out of his wretched mouth."Oh please Paenoe, you could never understand how I feel. You
"Luna Anaïs" I stopped and turned around when I heard Alpha Paenoe call after me. We had hardly made it down the stairs of the Communal hall. I was expecting him to take days before making up his mind...I turned around and looked at him as he climbed down the stairs and came to stand in front of me. His shoulders were tense and even though his face showed no emotions, his eyes made an uncomfortable feeling wash over me."I will not put my pack at risk. The few moonchildren who find their mates among us mate and further our line. We do not wish for anything more" Alpha Paenoe said. His words made me sigh but I wasn't going to push him. He's the leader, he chooses what's right for his people. I understood that because I am one too."And by saying that I won't put my pack in danger for anything, I mean you as well" Alpha Paenoe said and immediately in the blink of an eyes more than 10 hybrids surrounded us.I, along with Brian, Adeline and Jeremy took a defensive stance as well. I frant
"Luna?" I heard a very faint voice call out to me. I rolled over on my left side but cursed under my breath when my very sore right arm ached as I shifted my weight from it.I slowly opened my eyes and remembered where I was as my eyes fell upon the familiar stone walls and iron cell gates where I was locked up yesterday."Luna?!" Brian screamed again. I groaned as I got up and rubbed all the aching muscles in my body."I'm up! I'm up!" I said but my voice was so coarse from not having had a single drop of water since breakfast yesterday that the words came out as a mere whisper."Luna do you hear that noise? Coming from outside?" Brian asked and that's when I picked up the faint noise of what seemed to be drums...those huge ones with real animal hides on them."They must be preparing for...." I heard Sierra say faintly and realised that the Blue Eclipse pack must be doing some kind of ritual in preparation for our murder which was scheduled for tonight."It's fine, don't let it get t
