Chapter 127: Hell

Sam swam to the shore with me in his arms, joining the three soaking wet demons. He walked out the water with me still attached to him like a monkey, and my suddenly super heavy body was impossible to hold up. All my organs dropped down when he walked out, but he held his arms around me like I weighed nothing, his expression never changing.

The cold air kissed my goose-bump covered skin, and a mean chill ran through me.

Winter was in the air. The frozen nights were close.

"Hey, Satan," I inquired with interest, "Isn't your realm supposed to be like... Hell? Like, really hot? Why does it feel like it's going to freeze tonight?"

Adrian let out a full blown blasting laugh.

Sam slowly let me down, and we both turned to Adrian, who slapped his knee hard.

"What?" I asked, dumbfounded.

Adrian shook his head, still laughing. "I fucking love humans."

"No. That's something humans made up in their fantasies." Sam answered me with narrowed eyes at his brother.

"Although," Adrian interven
