CHAPTER 29:

She stood up from her seat and hurried to hold Jaxton as she pleaded with him unendingly, her steps were heavy and she had her heart in her mouth in case the men tried to find fault with her again.

"Jaxton please, it is all my fault, please let go of his collar. I did not think too much about it and blurted nonsense. We do not have to fight about this." she pleaded, tapping gently on the hand gripping Paxton's collar. Her hand felt small and she felt slightly ridiculous. Compared to these two men with huge palms, if they were to smack her hand off, the possibility that she would get a dislocated wrist would be very high.

He finally let go of his collar and glared daggers at him. His chest moving up and down in annoyance. "I am letting it go this time. But there won't be a next time." His tone was firm and fierce and he obviously meant what he was saying.

"Please go back to your office, I'm really sorry. This is all my fault. It won't happen again.
