Chapter 9

Joey was wearing a black coat and his long straight legs were striding towards her side.

Glenda thought he would walk by indifferently when he saw her as a joke.

But unexpectedly, Joey stopped beside her.

Joey is very tall and almost equal to Hayden’s height. When he looked down at Glenda, most people would unconsciously think of a popular word \"cute height difference\".

In front of Joey, Glenda really seemed like a child. Even if she pretends to be strong, her \"acting skills\" are still somewhat immature.

Joey breathed white fog, which happened to jump on Glenda\'s face.

Glenda raised her head and looked at him.

\"Why are you still standing here? Isn\'t it cold? Let\'s go...\"

In Joey\'s tone, there was a rare element of concern, which surprised Glenda.

But before she could react, her wrist felt hot and her arm had been grabbed by Joey.

Glenda\'s eyes went wide open. She was stunned and looked at Joey in front of her.

Glenda, with a stiff expression, was dragged by Joey and got on a Rolls Royce silently parked on the side of the road.

The black car did not drive slowly on top of the slippery road in the snow, but accelerated in an instant and jumped out directly.

Harry looked at the direction of the car\'s departure with an incredible face and his eyebrows had unconsciously crumpled forming a frown.

Ruby on beside him took an intense look of Harry\'s expression, and her face changed.

  \"Harry...\"

Ruby called softly and pulled Harry back from his thoughts.

Harry restrained his expression and turned to look at her.

Ruby stretched out her hand, gently brushed off the scattered snowflakes on his shoulder and asked, \"Why are you here?\"

\"I came to see a customer and happened to be nearby...\" Harry\'s face was not very good and his answer was not straight.

At this time, he had a hundred questions in his heart, all about how Glenda could be with Joey?

Harry glanced at the Gray family\'s villa, took back his eyes, and asked, \"Why are you and Glenda here?\"

Ruby\'s expression was a little flustered and hurriedly staggered his eyes.

She pretended to be calm and said, \"we just happened to pass by here...\"

  “……”

Harry didn\'t say anything. He loosened his hand on her shoulder and walked ahead alone.

\"Let\'s go...\" he said without looking back.

Ruby glanced at his empty shoulder, then turned around and followed Harry\'s footsteps

  ……

  On the black car,

Glenda sat in the back seat with a small face and kept her gaze outside of the window.

Every time Joey looked at her in the rear-view mirror, she would secretly peek at him with her eyes.

Seeing their eyes meet, Joey shook his head and bent the corners of his mouth.

\"What are you laughing at? Haven\'t you seen others lose in love? Haven\'t you seen someone being dumped?\" Glenda said sharply and turned her head at the same time.

Joey was stunned. The little girl\'s temper is really short.

Glenda fiercely lashed out at him and he retracted back his gaze.

A moment later, Joey said calmly, \"I thought at least I would get a thanks from you...\"

  Glenda got embarrassed.

Indeed, if Joey hadn\'t helped her out just now, she might still be standing there watching the show their love. She can only be seen as something laughable.

Glenda\'s little face puffed up as if wanting to vent, but she hung her head down and wanted to cry instead.

Joey looked at her and said frankly, \"Come on, you’re just 20 years old. You don\'t have to restrain all your emotions. Why don\'t you vent and let it all out while you’re still young?\"

Glenda raised her head and looked at him with some incomprehension.

A moment later, the expression on Glenda\'s face changed. Her obedient appearance suddenly disappeared and became fierce once more.

She squinted at Joey, but said, \"It’s none of your business, you know?\"

Joey couldn\'t help but feel a little amused. The girl was always on guard. She was like an angry little wild cat. She showed her claws to frighten people when she can do no actual harm.

But in his eyes, she is at most a little house cat

Joey sighed, still watching the rich expression of her face changing in the rear view mirror.

\"Your grandfather doesn\'t know about you smashing my car?\" Joey asked with a smile.

Glenda turned like a cat with its tail raised up. She reached out to push the door open.

However, Joey was one step faster than her and used the central control to lock all the locks in the car.

Glenda didn\'t open the door and patted the window hard. Then she turned her head and said angrily, \"you lock me in again!\"

Joey\'s expression was much calmer. He pointed to the front and said, \"do you think you can walk on the viaduct?\"

Glenda stopped talking and remained angry.

  ……

10 minutes later, Joey\'s car got off the viaduct and stopped at the roadside.

He unlocked the car and looked back at Glenda.

But Glenda didn\'t want to get off now.

Seeing that Glenda didn\'t move, Joey didn\'t hurry to restart the car, but lowered his head with a cigarette and lit it with a lighter.

  ……

In the quiet space, Glenda\'s thoughts raced by fast.

She doesn\'t understand what Joey talked about with her grandfather. Did he just threaten her? Or was it a scheme, in order to make her lose money as soon as possible?

But whatever it was, she couldn\'t let her grandfather know.

After taking a deep breath,Glenda finally made a decision.

The domineering person from before has completely disappeared, and in the blink of an eye, she looked pitiful again.

She put her hands together, and with a look of someone begging for mercy, she kept bowing.
