35 Gossip

I walked to my room expecting Matt to be completely fine but I was stunned when I realised that he had left for a business trip. I should be calm but I was annoyed. He left without event telling me. He could have picked his phone up and said it. We made love yesterday but today he left me. Nothing hurt me more than that. I ate my breakfast mechanically. I checked my phone but there wasn't any call or message from him. Was it possible that he was hurt by my saying no to a date. I thought I made it easier for him by rejecting his idea. U knew he was only doing it so that I will be comfortable.

I saw a call from Lisa and picked it up. She sounded alarmed on the call.

"Calm down what is it?", I asked her.

"Matt is on a party with an ex girlfriend", she said.

"Ok",I said trying to ignore the pit on my stomach.

"You can't just say ok", she warned me.

"I don't know what else to say", I said.

"This woman always ruins relationship. She takes pleasure in going after her married exes", said she
