41 The bride and the wedding

I got the dress that Lisa sent for me. She wanted me to be there. Initially, I thought of not going but then decided against it. I can't not go. My best friend had asked me for a single thing that is to be her bride's maid. I have to be there. Matt will come back today I don't know when. But I won't be here waiting for him. I was going to attend the marriage. I was still in shock but I had somehow managed to work out my body enough to wear the dress and put on some minimal makeup. It was a beautiful dress. It wasn't hideous like the few I had normally seen. She had excellent choices in dress and men but somehow ended up with my father.

When I reached Lisa's home. She was alone. I was surprised to see that there wasn't anyone there to be with her. I was grateful to myself for deciding to come. I hated to see her sad and lonely at her wedding. Maybe they will find a way to get through this wedding like I found. It wasn't easy but it wasn't impossible too.
