“Oh never mind, why did I have to ask that?”

Before I could reply, the elevator opens and he quickly went out while I was left with my knees slowly shaking. I wasn’t expecting his sudden questions. So he knew that I have a son?

“Mom!” I was just getting back to my senses when Amari’s voice greeted me as soon as I entered.

“How’s my baby doing?” I asked completely removing Achilles from my mind, this day is for my son. I won’t let the assh*le ruin our bonding time.

“I’m fine mom, I met our neighbors and they want to play with me.” He cheerfully uttered, my heart melted seeing his innocent smiles of him. And I could trade my life just to see those smiles often.

“That’s great then! Always be nice to them okay? And if there’s a problem, anything just tells mom.”
