Chapter 21

Marcus's POV

I walked away from her, not because I'm mad at her, but because I'm mad at what she did and every word she said got on my nerves.

I hate hearing her speak on stage, making her father's name sound good. She looks like a puppet being controlled by her father.

To calm myself I decided to roam the place and find a good spot where I can relax.

"Are you heading somewhere, Atty Sullivan?" a middle-aged woman I had talked to earlier asks.

"Do you have any place here where I can relax?" I ask.

She smiles at me and nods her head.

"There's a beach a few minutes drive from here. That's a good place if you want to relax," she suggests.

I smile at her and nod my head.

"Thank you," I politely say and head towards our driver to borrow the keys.

I use Google Maps to find the beach, and it's not that far because, after a few minutes, just like the woman said, I arrive.

I park the car on the side of the road and walk towards the shore.
