Isabella's POV

When we were walking away from the place I once called home, everything my mom said flooded back to my mind.

That you're adopted!

You're not my biological child.

We adopted you from an orphanage.

I felt Christian whispering something to me but I couldn't hear anything as my mind was repeating the same phrases my mom uttered over and over again.

Am I an orphan then? And I didn't know it for the past 28 years?
