Chapter 23: Court Part 11

Ethan sat in his plush armchair, swirling the expensive Bordeaux in his glass. The deep ruby color caught the dim light of the room, casting a warm glow on the mahogany table. The taste was exquisite, a complex blend of dark fruit and earthy notes, but it did little to ease the turmoil in his mind. He took another sip, feeling the alcohol begin to cloud his thoughts.

"I can't believe this is happening," Ethan muttered to himself, running his fingers through his hair. "I'm the CEO of a successful company, and now it's all falling apart."

His company had been showing a trend of continuous losses, and the shareholders were starting to get restless. Ethan knew he had to do something, but he couldn't think straight. The stress was eating away at him, causing him to lose sleep and appetite. He could feel the weight of the world on his shoulders, and it was getting heavier by the day.

"It's all Luna's fault," Ethan said, his voice growing louder. "She's the one causing all these problems."
