098: Unending Feelings

Ophelia woke up the next morning and found herself alone in the room. Finlay had taken her to one of his cottages the previous day, away from civilization. They had ridden one horse because Finlay didn't want her to shift into her wolf. He didn't want her to stress herself.

She could recall not uttering a word to him upon their arrival. She had chosen to keep silent because she was still upset over the fact that Madelyn had pressed a knife to her throat, to kill her because of her obsession for Finlay. Although she was glad Finlay was there with her.

But he went inside the room. Could it be he had left her there and returned to Easton? Ophelia doubted he did so.

She got off the bed and went to stand in the window to take in the view of the blue sky with big patches of white. It rained the entire night but she didn't feel cold. The room was warm and she knew Finlay had lit the lamps.
