Chapter 35: Another Journey

The Vampires let us go and we continued our journey wherever our feet took us. This place is so vast and the figure of the mountains in the end are so tiny, everywhere I turn.

I heard the panting Tristan walking next to me. I took the bag from him and gave him a bottle of water from inside it as well. I looked around and when I noticed that there seemed to be no vampire following me I said taking a deep breath, "Let's go. We can't stay here in this place."

It's better if I take him to a place near humans. I must put him back where he belongs since he is definitely not safe in this kind of place. "I can carry the bag." His voice was so hoarse, maybe because it's ruined when he screamed so much earlier.

I asked while handing the bag to him, "Are you okay?"

"I know you can save me, you have powers but I'm scared to death of this. Can we go to a place where there are no vampires? I'd rather face a creature like you than them."
