Shit that baby

Scarlett used the back of her hand to rub her eyes as she finally gathered enough strength to sit up on her bed and against the headboard. She had been awake for the past fifteen minutes but felt immobile, so she remained on her bed in a daze.

Scarlett stared out of the window to see that it was dark outside. It only meant that she woke up early; the sun was not out yet. She did not know if she wanted to leave the house today for work, but one thing she was certain of was that she wouldn't be living in this house for a long time. She needed to leave.

Scarlett wasn't sure if she still had a job to even return to, as she had told Alex that he was free to fire her. She did not mean what she said, but who's to say he wouldn't do it?

'You are his friend Scarlett, he wouldn't do that to you'

And there was that voice again in her head. A voice whose presence she was beginning to notice and get accustomed to.

'If I was his friend, he wouldn't hide anything from me'

The voice snickered, 'Doe

The story is great. Although I think Mandy should either be Alex’s sister or his cousin. Calling her both is confusing.
