“Scarlett'' Alex called immediately as the door of Scarlett's office closed behind the both of them.

“I want to be left alone,” Scarlett said, shutting him up as she walked to her table and began to gather her things.

Alex ignored her words, “Scarlett, who was that man? Do you know him? Why did he come to look for you here?”

“I know him” Scarlett was not going to deny knowing Liam, but she definitely did not know why he came here to look for her. Liam was the only one that could answer that question. Scarlett packed the last of her things into her bag and slung it on her shoulder, “I want to go home”.

Scarlett began to make her way to the door, but Alex stepped in front of her to block her path, “We need to talk, Scarlett”

Scarlett refused to meet his gaze, her eyes were on the door, “No we don't, Alex. I want to go home. I don't want to talk to anyone.” All she wanted to do now was crawl into a hole and lick her wound. A hole where there was no one except her.
