I didn’t go back to Jaiya’s apartment. Which I’m already sure she knew was going to happen.

As much as I told myself I wasn’t going to sleep at the pack house. That I’ll only drop Atlas off, makes sure he is fine and taking his drugs, then I’ll call an uber then go back to my apartment.

Jaiya probably wanted to spend time with her brother and best friend. Their conversation at the club said that much and I didn’t want to intrude.

The moment I hd walked into the house though, something told me I wasn’t going to leave so early.

Atlas and I walked to his room. We haven’t said a word to each other since we left Jaiya’s. The radio was what filled the silence while I tried hard to focus on the road and not the man beside me or what we’d been close to doing before coming out.

Atlas had his head against the headrest with his eyes closed. He looked relaxed that I almost thought he was sleeping.

At first I panicked, of course. Thinking maybe he passed out because he was so still. I noticed
