Chapter 27

As Cannon said, he didn’t leave. Flower bouquets were always at her desk waiting for her before she reached there too much for Elaine's irritation. Though there were no initials left with that, Elaine knew it was from Cannon.

He tried to talk to her as well but every time, Elaine ignored him.

Elaine was fazed and bewildered. In just a few days, Cannon managed to shake her whole existence.

If anything, his cheesy and sugary nature got her even angrier on him. His past behaviour wasn’t something that could be erased from her mind with all this.

The hurt she observed on Cannon’s face, every time she taunted him or rejected him, started an inner turmoil in her, especially when he did not react to her any action and deal with her patiently. It wasn’t something, she anticipated.

Elaine could feel Cannon was always trying to hide the hurt that was caused due to her tantrums with a forced, sad smile. She tried to ignore that, but damn her stupid heart.
