Chapter 51

Janet POV

The film awards still infuriated me as I watched Jazz scattered all over social media as the queen of entertainment and beauty. Even if she had won the awards on merit, she was no better than me in any way. That damn host was just too blunt for my liking.

I sighed and dropped my tablet on the table in anger hissing out loud.

"Is there a problem?," Asphalt asked me as he walked into the living room about to leave for the day.

"No, there is nothing wrong. Are you going to work already?I thought you would stay a little longer," I tried to act cute but he was too low on EQ to understand my action.

"I see you in the evening," he said and left the house without giving me a goodbye kiss. He was too damn cold for my liking. I watched his car drive out of the compound before I went back to the living room.

I had nothing in particular to do today and my manager was on her day off. So I had no one to pester, not even my friends because they too had a busy schedule.
