Chapter 32 Confessions

Jessica woke up to a call from Mark. She had just fallen into a deep sleep when her phone rang. It was only eight thirty but her neck hurt making her go to bed early. She took a quick shower and dried herself as she sat on the bed. "Mark didn't sound his usual self", she thought.

She dressed up in a formal pants and shirt. The night was cold and she put on a long fleece coat to stay warm. Looking at the marks on her neck she grabbed a scarf and wrapped it gently to hide them.

She grabbed the house keys and her handbag of the dresser and slowly tiptoed to the lounge. Rudy was awake.

" I have been called to work", Jessica said softly.

"Work at this hour?" Rudy questioned.

He looked at the scarf on her neck. She definitely wouldn't go screwing around with those marks he had made earlier.

"Yes",she did not want to explain further.

Rudy looked at her dressing and shrugged.

Jessica left and walked out of the apartment building. She took out her phone and called a private taxi.
