Did I go home to the wrong house?

It was five o clock in the afternoon and Jessica had lost track of time

Her head was buried in paperwork. Alison sprung up from behind her desk giving Jessica a fright.

"Gosh honey, I almost jumped out of my skin", Jessica said as her held her chest. She burst out in laughter after a while. " That was a good scare though".

" Mom, shouldn't we go now. It's already after five", Alison asked sweetly.

"Yes, we should get going. It's getting late. We don't want any thugs to maul us", Jessica said thoughtfully. She did not want to trouble Mark after the scene Rudy caused this morning.

" Come on ladies, I will drop you two off at home", Mark said as her stood like a knight in shining armour. Alison burst out in giggles.

" No thank you", Alison said with a smile, " I think Alison and I should leave together and by ourselves. I don't want to trouble you"

"But mom, it's already so late. Let's go with uncle Mark", Alison whined.

"No Alison. We will be alright", Jessica said pursing her lips.
