Chapter 24

Emily and I went to the kitchen to check on the staff and inquire if they needed anything. Emily, my second in command, decided to accompany me.

She had been instructed on how to lead a pack in the Royal pack, as they were aware she would have a high ranking mate.

When we arrived at the kitchen, the staff were busy preparing breakfast as we had come early in the morning.

"Luna, welcome," the head of kitchen staff greeted me.

"Good morning," I replied.

I gestured to Emily and said, "She is my second in command and she may start coming here."

We observed that everything was going well and we left to check on those who had recently given birth.

I knocked on the door and we were asked to enter. I was guided into the room to see the mother and the baby.

As I entered, the lady was about to stand up to greet me, but I gestured for her to remain seated.

"Luna, thank you for coming," she said to me.

"You don't need to thank me," I said to her and smiled.
