Chapter 47

Violet POV.

I have been close to death more than twice now and sometimes I feel like it's chasing me. I don't know why, but the way I almost slipped away was not normal.

Thankfully, the Moon Goddess saved me. My only fear was for my baby; I didn't care what happened to me, as long as my baby was safe.

Even though my eyes were closed, I could hear people's wishes and prayers that I should get up.

I believe it was their prayers that helped me heal faster. When I woke up in the hospital room, I saw Sebastian looking at me with happiness in his eyes.

He moved closer and hugged me tightly. Even though I hadn't been gone for long, it felt like an eternity when Sebastian hugged me.

The doctor came in shortly after and checked up on me. He asked me a few questions, even though some of them seemed ridiculous.

He told Sebastian I was fine and left. I was exhausted and was about to fall asleep when Emily and Noah came in.
