CHAPTER 41

"Did you think we were too late?" Brad whispered, unsure of what to do. He sounded hopeless and scared.

"I don't think so," Cage shook his head. "She will be alright, just a little weak maybe."

Brad groaned out in frustration. He gripped his hair and pulled at it. His beast was mad. Angry at the dire state of their mate. He tried to calm him down but couldn't.

The door opened and the healer, John walked in.

"Your Majesties!" He bowed to them.

"Come forward, John. Your expertise is needed here," Cage waved him forward. He quickly went closer and saw Lara on the bed.

He tried to hide his shock but it was written on his face. She was the one from last time. He touched her hand to check her pulse and sighed when he felt her heartbeat.

"What is it? Is she alright?" Brad asked as soon as he noticed his reaction. John stood up and nodded.

"She is alright, Your Majesty. Just a little weak," he said. Cage raised an eyebrow at Brad.

"So should we let her be or is there anything we have
