Chapter 22.1: Remy knows how to be smooth about it

Midnight stared at the leaving Ryder, his gaze gentle with a hint of sadness. His eyes dropped to his right hand and as a frown appeared on his lips, he rolled up the sleeve only to reveal the bandaged wrist. A sigh from the soul breathed through his lips.

Right then his friend, who had been waiting for him in the car outside the bookstore walked over.
