Tremaine's Coming of Age

After receiving her first whipping from their babysitter Isabella, Lucinda and her brother Joseph behaved much better. That night, as they laid in bed, both laid on their sides to face each other.

"I am sorry." Joseph told his sister, "I promised you just this morning that I would never let her do that to you and then hours later you were tied up next to me. I am so sorry, Lucy." His eyes began to water and his pain was visible. Not only the pain from his back but the emotional pain he was feeling. He was the older sibling, and he let his sister get hurt on his watch. More than that, she got punished because of his own poor behavior.
