“How dare you show your face here after what you've done?!”

My lips curled into a snarl as I glared at my uncle, fury washing over me as I remembered what he had done.

“Is that what you say to someone who you just bumped into?” my uncle asked, adjusting his tie nervously.

His eyes scanned the crowd nervously and I realized he was scared and probably scanning the crowd for cops.

“I'm not alone,” I said to him.

He cleared his throat nervously, “We can talk about this, Mia.”

I walked away from him, my eyes scanning the crowd for any familiar face.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him.

“I came to check up on your mom,” he answered.

I scoffed, “So you sold me off to become a whore and you're suddenly taking care of my mother?”

“Whore? What are you talking about, Mia?” my uncle laughed nervously.

“Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about!” I snapped at him, “You and that doctor drugged me.”
