Chapter 18: The Cruel Alpha
Margarette's POV
He suddenly carried me like a bride and my heart pounded so fast inside my chest because of what he did. I never thought that Kayden will carry me, and he's being caring again.
“I know you're about to complain, but just allow me to carry you until we reach the car.” He mumbled, and I could feel my face flush from what he uttered. I've chosen to shut my mouth and wrap my hands around his nape instead. I just allow Kayden to carry me until we reach his car. He even helped me to hopped inside, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt because of him.
We leave the place as soon as possible to return to his house and I cannot stop myself to think about what happened from earlier where my life was in danger because of those two wicked women. They were so obsessed with him, but then he arrives to save me.
Alpha Kayden rescued me, and I am grateful because of what he did. I owe my life to him.
