Chapter 106

DOMINIK's POV

“Elder Rouna wants your signature on this document,” the wolf standing in front of my desk chirped and slid a paper to me.

I eyed him for a while and picked the document up. I rubbed my eyes and browsed through the document. I looked up at the wolf once again and he flinched from my firm gaze.

This wolf was the substitute for Luis, since I had sent him on an important mission. He was not as great as Luis, but he could perform the job decently enough to not make me lose my wits.

“Why does he want me to sign this?” I questioned.

“Apparently, it is a new bill to purchase food items from another route, since the routes we have used before have always be hijacked by bandits, who raid our carts and steal all the food,” he replied.

I drummed my finger on the table and pondered on what he said. Moments after, I picked up my pen and signed on the provided space. Once I had signed, I offered the document back to the wolf, who took it from me.
