CLAIRE's POV

Diana had not mentioned the name or whoever has ordered her to push me into the pond, but deep down i knew exactly who it was. My gaze on Diana never faded. I kept my eyes on her, as she kept her gaze to the ground.

Why could she not look me in the eye? Why was she avoiding my gaze? I was supposed to be burning with anger, but all I could feel was hurt, which filled my chest, making it difficult to breath.

Why has I foolishly trusted that maybe, somehow, Diana had come to like me, and wanted to be closer to me. How could I have been so delusional. I was seated in the water, with no will to move or get myself out of the pond, despite how cold I felt.

I was stunned to shocked to move.

"Why? So everything you told me was a lie? You never felt sorry for the incident at the library? You never wanted to train me?" I asked.
