Chapter 38 - Owing favours

Eli’s POV

We walked into the nightclub in the city and I could smell all the different scents from all the different creatures. It was so strange to see them all mingling and having fun as if they were from the same damn species! It was disgusting!

“I’m here to see Nathaniel,” I told the huge bulky guard keeping watch over the VIP entrance. I was sure he was just there because he was all brawn and no damn brain. When he finished paging through his little list of people, he frowned at me.

“And you are?” He sighed as if I was wasting his time!

“Eli.” I frowned. “Eli Blackwood. I have an appointment and you are going to make me late!” I was getting impatient. I didn’t want to be here of all places, but if I was going to get to my goal, I needed to do that.
