Chapter Twenty Seven - This is a bad idea!

Tonight was dinner with my cousin and husband. I was starting to regret asking Gabe to join me. This was a terrible idea! My cousin was a gossip. What if she mentions it to the rest of the family? How do I get myself out of this one? Maybe he shouldn’t come.

I grabbed my phone and called him. He would be here in about an hour. It only rang a couple of times before he answered.

“Hey, gorgeous,”

“Hey, so I have been thinking. I don’t know if tonight is such a good idea,” I said softly.

“How come?”

“Because my cousin has a big mouth. She will end up telling the rest of the family, and then any family even they will expect me to show up with you,”

“So, what is the problem?” he chuckled.
