Little Cheetah's POV I watched as he walked out of the room to answer the door. After a few moments, I quickly pulled the sweatpants on. I've never been embarrassed to be naked before. But for some reason, I am around him. I frowned at the sweatpants once I had them on. It was like sticking a twig inside a pair of pants. They were massive on me. I grabbed the strings and pulled them as tight as I could, but it did no good. It's simply bunched up until I couldn't pull it any tighter. I growled at the stupid pants and tied them. I looked down at my legs and frowned, realizing how incredibly baggy they were. If they didn't have the elastic at the ankle, they would be hanging way past my feet. I'm short, but that's how cheetah shifters are. Especially Omega cheetah shifters like myself. I'm a whole whopping 5'5, and that darn wolf that carried me was a monster! He's incredibly tall, but not as tall as that stupid Alpha. I shivered at the thought of the Alpha. Alphas scare me. They
Timothy's POV His hands caressed my back as I tried to hide my face in his neck. With my face in his neck, his incredible scent was much stronger. I took a deep breath in, and my eyes practically rolled in the back of my head. My goodness he smells so good! I thought to myself as I pressed my nose against his neck. His body stiffened as I moved my nose lower, sniffing him until I found his scent gland, and pressed my nose against it. I felt my chest vibrate, as I instantly began purring while breathing in his scent. I quickly lost myself as his scent wrapped around me like a blanket. My hands gripped his shirt before wrapping around him, pulling myself closer to him. He feels so comfortable, like home! I feel my body relaxing against him and I smile with my eyes closed, as I breathe him in. I hope he doesn't mind that I practically plastered myself to him, and had my face pressed into his neck. Just when I began to feel nervous that he might not like it, I feel his arms tighten aro
Timothy's POV After tempting to lick another bowl dry, I growled and pouted as my mate took the bowl away. I don't get why he won't let me lick the bowl. I wondered, then growled at the door where he went to the bathroom. After a few minutes, he came back out and began digging in the wooden thing. I watched as he pulled some clothes out of it, and that's when I realized what it was. That's one of those dressers that I saw in the book my Papa had. I felt sad as I thought of my Papa, remembering how things were when I was younger. For a short while we had something that we considered home. It was a cave, but it was home, and we had a few things there. One day my Papa brought home a handful of books. He sat down and read every one of them to me that night. Every night he read to me. When we had to leave, we brought the books with us. That's how I learned about all the things most people have. Things that my people used to have, but no longer do. Now we have to live in the woods an
Third Person's POV Dominic held Claudius up as he rinsed his mouth, before splashing cold water on his face. "Hang on to the counter so I can flush the toilet," Dominic said, wanting to flush his vomit, before it makes Claudius throw up again. Claudius dries his face, before turning and reaching up for Dominick's neck. Dominic leans down, scooping his Luna into his arms, bridal style. Claudius lays his head on his chest and closes his eyes. "Are you sure you're okay to go? We can do it another night if you're not feeling up to it." Dominic asked, seeing how weak Claudius is today, especially after throwing up the soup he had just recently eaten. It was the only thing Dominic has been able to get Claudius to eat all day. "Yes, I want to go. I really want to meet his mate. I've never met a cat shifter before, I'm so excited!" He said, feeling some energy coming back at the thought of meeting the cheetah shifter. .... Colton was hesitant to move forward with movie night, since thi
Third Person's POV Alpha Hughes pushes the food around on his plate and then glances at the empty chair to his left. Sometimes he feels like moving the chair altogether. Every time he looks at it, his heart pangs. He hates that stupid chair! His eyes go to that little table in the back left corner, and his chest aches even more. He misses seeing Claudius in the dining room. It's been so long since he's seen him here. He knows why Claudius stopped coming. He felt his eyes on him the moment he entered the dining room. Almost the entire time he was there, he felt Claudius's eyes on him, from that little table in the back left corner. It was so hard not to look at him when everything in him was begging him to. He could feel Claudius's eyes begging him to look his way, just once. He could also feel his mate's heart breaking, when not once did he look his way. The few times he did glance his way, his heart broke when he saw how broken his mate was. He knows this is the reason he
Claudius's POV "Yes, I'm positive I feel good. Look, Niko can even come forward." I said, feeling Niko come to the surface with me, and Dominic smiled when he saw Niko's eyes. "Hey, Niko! It's so good to see you!" Dominic said, reaching up and tucking my hair behind my ear, probably to see Niko better. "I just need to get away from him, and everything that's him for a few hours," I said, and Dominic let out a sigh. "Why can't we just go into town here, instead of the human town?" "Because it still screams Alpha Hughes. Everywhere I look, it's him. This is his place, that's his town. Everywhere I look reminds me of him. I just want to be away from him, and not have to see him everywhere." I said, and Dominic let out another sigh, before reaching down and picking me up. "Fine! But just a few hours! The longer You're that far away from him, the quicker you're going to become weak again." "Then I guess I'll just need him to recharge me again, huh!" I said, and Dominic and Niko laugh
Claudius's POV I was thankful as soon as Dominic saw me, he ran to me and picked me up. I wanted to be able to make it back on my own, and I did, but that last little distance I knew I wouldn't make it. "Thank you!" I said, letting out a breath of relief as Dominic adjusted me in his arms. He kept glancing at me as we walked back, but I barely paid attention. I couldn't get those beautiful light brown eyes out of my head. I brought my hand to my nose and took a deep breath in and smiled. "What are you smiling about?" "Nothing!" I said, then sniffed my hand again and let out a dreamy sigh as I smiled. "You're acting kind of weird, what's going on?" Dominic said, and I shrugged my shoulders and he chuckled. I could feel the smile on my face, as we drove back. I couldn't stop thinking about him. His beautiful short brown hair, those light brown eyes, his beautiful tan skin, and his incredible scent. He smelled sweet and minty, nothing like a wolf... He's human... He's human...
Claudius's POV I was so nervous I could barely think straight, as I looked at myself for the 100th time, and smooth my shirt out, one too many times. Dominic sat on my bed, laughing at me as I fussed over the way I looked. "I can't, it's too much fun watching you do the same thing over and over again! But I'm curious, how many times will it take for you to run your hands over your shirt before it's actually straight enough for you?" Dominic flinches, his hand quickly lifts into the air and deflects the hairbrush I just threw at him. Unfortunately, this had the opposite effect, and the jerk simply laughed even harder, and I growled at him. "I'm sorry! I know I'm laughing, but it's not because you're doing anything wrong. You're just too adorable!" As much as I wanted to pluck his eyes out a moment ago, I couldn't help but blush like an idiot and tried not to smile as I looked anywhere but Dominic. My nerves were through the roof the closer we got to the human town. I chewed on
