I didn’t want to leave the hotel. I finally had Damon all to myself and I wanted to lay there with him all day but we had promised my father we would show up at the party.

“The party starts at nine, does it not?” Damon asked. It was still evening so we had like five hours before it started, but we had to get ready and we had nothing to wear in this hotel room. I’d been naked all day.

“Why don’t we just ditch the party and stay here?” I groaned.

“I made a promise to your father and I have to fulfill it if I want to take you with me back to New York.”

I rolled my eyes. I didn’t care about promises with my father. He was a selfish man who only cared about himself. Before I could speak, the doorbell rang.
