EVA'S POV

The glass collided with the wall and shattered to a thousand pieces on the floor. Liam stood there unmoving and red liquid stained his cheek where a piece had cut him. He winced but did not touch the cut. He did not say anything either.

I had been vandalizing my living room since we got home. It was just the two of us. Jonathan had said his piece and had returned to his hotel, swearing never to return until we began discussion about our divorce. He was this close to disowning Liam but he decided it was best to stay away from him instead and strip him of every right he had to be a part of the company. He was being punished right now and he was not to show up at the Railings Corp until his anger was appeased.

He was determined to divorce me though. The deal we had fell through. It was my fault for being overconfident. I thought Lorena would not survive the attack, I also thought the board of directors would stand by Liam who they had known for much longer. I knew
