Chapter 23: The Cardinal Sin

The vial is well preserved and still looks as good as new. As I was about to bring out the silver key that I got from the other room, someone appeared in front of me. 

It's planning to steal the key in my hands. Before I could even think, the battle had already transpired. 

It happened in a blink of an eye.

'It won’t let me obtain the essence.'

Regrettable, but there was nothing he could do but defeat this shadowy figure. I hid the key in my inventory and brought out my Chromium Tungsten-steel sword. 

Wrapping the short sword with holy energy, I tried to slash it but upon touching the sword it dissolved into dust….&nb
